Http error 404 not found (not found)

Network server (running the website) considers that the HTTP data flow sent by the customer (eg your browser) was correct, but access to the feature identified by the URL is prohibited for some reason. This is equivalent to the answer ' return to the sender – Unknown Address ' for conventional mail services.

Repairing Errors 404 – General
For higher level URLs (such as www.isp.com), the first possibility is that the site URL request was directed to a browser of a network that considers you never had any page for the network website. This will be possible if DNS inputs are fundamentally corrupted or if the network server has corrupted internal records. The second possibility is that the network server has hosted the network website, but now it does not do it anymore and can not provide a redirect to another computer that hosts the site. If the site is completely deactivated – now effectively nowhere on the internet – then message 404 makes sense. However, if the site was recently transferred, then, message 404 can also be triggered. This is also a DNS problem, as the former network server can no longer be accessed – as soon as the global DNS inputs are updated, only the new network server should be accessed.

For low level URLs (such as www.isp.com/products/list.html), this error may indicate a broken link. You can see this easily when trying the URL in a network browser. Most browsers issue a message ' 404 – not found ' very clear.

As long as the network website is still found somewhere on the internet, the 404 errors should be rare. For higher level URLs, they usually occur only when there is any changes in how the site is hosted and accessed, and even these disappear in a week or two after the internet captures the changes that were made. For low level URLs, the solution is almost always to correct the web pages so that the broken hypertext link is corrected.
