Http Error 401 UNAUTHORIZED (unauthorized)

The network server (which runs the web site) considers that the HTTP data flow sent by the customer (eg your network browser or our checkupdown robot) was correct, but access to the URL feature requires user authentication 1 ) that was not provided yet or 2) that was provided, but did not pass the authorization tests. This is usually known as “Basic Authentication HTTP”. The effective request for expected customer authentication is defined in the HTTP protocol as the title field www -uthenticate.

This error message usually means that you need to register (register a valid ID and password) somewhere first. If you have just registered them and then immediately see an error 401, this means that your user or password ID, or both were invalid for any reason (incorrectly recorded, suspended user ID, etc.) <) <) < /P>

Repairing Errors 401 – General
Each network server manages the user authentication in their own way. A security executive (eg a web master) on the site usually decides which users are allowed to access the URL. This person then uses the network server software to establish these users and their passwords. Therefore, if you need to access the URL (or if you have forgotten your user ID or password), only the security executive on that site can help you. Submit any security problem directly to them.

If you think the URL network page should be accessible to everyone and many people on the internet, then a 401 message indicates a more serious problem. The first thing you can do is check your URL through a network browser. This browser must be operating on a computer where you have never identified yourself before anyway, and you should avoid authentication (passwords, etc.) you used earlier. Ideally, all this should be done on a completely different internet connection from anyone you used earlier (eg a different ISP dial connection). In short, you are trying to get the same attitude that a complete stranger would have to surf the internet for the network page.

If this type of browser check does not indicate any authorization problem, then it is possible that the network server (or nearby systems) has been configured to prohibit certain HTTP traffic standards. In other words, the HTTP communication of a well -known network browser is allowed, but automated communication of other systems is refused with an error code 401. This is uncommon, but may indicate a very defensive security policy around the server Network.
